The Lexus IS is fresh
from its facelift and now features an increase in horsepower, changing it from
the Lexus IS 200t to the Lexus IS 300 RWD. It's the latest in an ongoing series
of personal sports sedans from Lexus, that are constantly being improved for no
other reason than to provide the driver with a totally sublime driving
experience.
In addition to added power, this five-passenger, four-door sedan includes new safety features from the Enform Safety Connect and Enform Service Connect systems. Both are now complementary through the first ten years of ownership. Enform Safety Connect offers Automatic Collision Notification, Roadside Assistance and Stolen Vehicle Location. On the other hand, Service Connect will alert you for upcoming service alerts and vehicle health reports.
Power for the IS comes from a choice of 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder (IS 300 RWD), a 3.5-liter V6 with AWD (IS 300 AWD) and finally the IS 350, which includes a 311 horsepower, 280 lb-ft of torque 3.5-liter V6 in the F-Sport model. All are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift levers for those who prefer to row it themselves.
The exciting look from the front of the IS features a bold new grille that varies slightly depending on which car you are viewing. All feature fresh air intakes and a sculpted hood flowing up from the familiar spindle grille. LED headlamps and DRLs light the way and are followed by red LED L-shaped rear lighting as the IS moves away.
The exterior of the Lexus IS wasn't the only part to get the good looks. Inside, the driver and passengers will see a cabin inspired by the Lexus LFA Supercar. Ten-way power seating makes sure the driver and passenger are comfortable for the long haul, and fully informed thanks to a 10.3-inch screen and available Mark Levinson premium Surround Sound system.
