Lexus LC: Luxury meets performance

In its relatively short existence, the LC has become an absolute icon of the Lexus lineup. Not much has changed with the design of the LC in that time, and for good reason. Don't fix what isn't broken! Competing stylistically with the likes of the Porsche 911, the LC provides a stunning design, a loaded interior, and performance you would expect out of a coupe. As an official Lexus LC dealer, we will say that it is one of our favorite vehicles to demonstrate to customers, as we feel it perfectly encompasses what Lexus is about: luxury meeting performance. While the LC does offer 4 passenger capacity, let's be honest, this luxury coupe is designed with one person in mind, the driver. Follow along as we take a look at the LC, inside to out. We'll break down the powerful V8 engine specs, the recently updated interior features, the classic LC design, and what each LC trim offers. Get ready for the dynamic Lexus LC.

If you want to skip the reading and jump straight to the fun part, visit Lexus of Brookfield for a test drive of the LC. Our knowledgeable staff will further break down this exciting coupe and find the perfect model for your needs. We look forward to meeting you!

Lexus LC: Inside the renovated interior

If you have been following the LC since its inception, one of the few drawbacks that may have prevented you from buying it was the old interior. We're pleased to say that LC has been upgraded on the interior as of 2024. Gone is the old screen control touchpad on the center console. It has been replaced with a modern 12.3-in touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality. A panoramic view monitor is now standard as well, giving you a 360 view of the LC for those difficult-to-manage driving experiences. Beyond that, it wouldn't be a luxury coupe without comfort features. Eight-way power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats come standard across all trims. Climate concierge, which is also a standard feature, offers a set it and forget it climate control that automatically adjusts as you drive to keep you comfortable at all times. Available options for a Mark Levinson 13-speaker audio system, heated leather-trimmed steering wheel, and semi-aniline leather-trimmed front seats provide some great finishing touches on a fantastic interior.

Lexus LC: Trunk Space, Dimensions & Overall interior Size

Let's be honest, you're not buying a coupe for all the excess space that it has. Most of the interior space of the LC goes towards the driver and front passenger. With 42 inches of legroom and 37 inches of headroom, the front seats are going to be comfortable even for people on the taller side. Beyond that, the LC is not really meant to have a whole lot more cargo. The LC's trunk space of 5.4 cu ft is enough for a suitcase, and that's about it. Rear passenger seats are probably not going to fit much more than children comfortably. If you consistently need more space, the LS may be the better option for you.

  • Headroom (front/rear) - 37.2 / 32.2 in
  • Legroom (front/rear) - 42.0 / 32.5 in
  • Shoulder room (front/rear) - 56.5 / 49.0 in
  • Hip room (front/rear) - 54.1 / 43.7 in

Lexus LC: Engine, Specs & Performance

The LC promises plenty of fun while driving, and in our opinion, it absolutely delivers. It offers two distinct engine options: a V8 traditional gas version and a V6 hybrid option. The 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 roars to life through the variable Active Exhaust, sending a thrilling signal to driving enthusiasts. With an impressive output of 471 hp and 398 lb.-ft. of peak torque, the LC 500 accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds and boasts a manufacturer-estimated highway fuel efficiency of 24 mpg. The Atkinson-cycle 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine for the Hybrid LC is no slouch either, delivering a 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds. Paddle-shifting capabilities, advanced sport drive modes, and an adaptive variable suspension complement the engine options well, as you will feel in control of the LC. If that's not enough for you, the optional sport package adds a variety of performance features, including a Torsen limited-slip rear differential with a performance damper, upgraded brake pads, and Alcantara-trimmed seats. Overall, the performance of the LC lives up to the expectations set with such a sporty design.

    Lexus LC: Timeless body style

The LC exterior has remained consistent since its inception, but why change a style that has become a Lexus fan favorite? Lexus went for a timeless look when designing the LC, and we believe it was an absolute success. This striking coupe features a distinctive mesh grille that extends across its front. It boasts a sizable glass panel and darkened rear pillars, giving it a floating roof effect. Chrome accents along the edges reflect the elegant lines reminiscent of a traditional Japanese sword. One of the most captivating features of the LC 500 is its distinctive lighting design at night. The taillights draw inspiration from the glow of a jet's afterburners, while the ultra-compact, triple-projector LED headlights are equally impressive. The LC is finished off with either a glass roof with a sunshade or you could upgrade to a carbon fiber roof. Finally, 21-inch rims are standard with two different styles offered. The biggest question you will have when deciding on the LC is whether to choose a traditional coupe or convertible.

Come see the dynamic style of the LC at our Lexus showroom in Brookfield, WI. We offer complimentary test drives and will walk you through all the features and upgrade options for the LC.

    Lexus LC FAQs

    +

The LC 500 does not fall under the supercar category but does offer impressive performance nonetheless. A 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 creates 471 hp and 398 lb.-ft. of torque and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds.

    +

There are currently no versions of the LC 500 that offer all-wheel drive. The standard and hybrid versions of the LC 500 are both rear-wheel drive.

    +

The LC 500 tops out at 168 MPH with a 0-60 time of 4.4 seconds for the gas variant and 155 MPH with a 4.7-second 0-60 time for the hybrid version.

    +

The LC does have 4 seats, but it is functionally a two-seat vehicle. Smaller passengers can fit in the rear, but the LS is a better option if you consistently need space for 4 passengers.

    +

The LC does require premium 91-octane gas. Lower-graded gas can cause the LC's performance to drop, including worse gas mileage and the potential for engine knocking.
