Lexus ES 350 Vs Acura TLX Comparison Review
The Acura TLX is part of the 1st generation TLX designed in 2015 to replace the TL and TSX, which combined more performance & luxury into a conventional midsize sedan. The base Acura TLX 2.4L 4-cylinder engine is under-powered and upgrading to the V6 engine is a must for anyone looking for luxury sedan level performance.
The TLX is due for an update, but it still offers good value for a luxury vehicle. Its interior is handsome with a quiet ride, but doesn't have the upscale interior of a Lexus. The back seats and trunk are both spacious. There are two digital displays, which is a little much. We would prefer a larger touch screen instead. Overall, the TLX is a great sedan for a reasonable price.Â
The newly redesigned
Lexus ES 350 features a wider, longer body and a more sporty look, inherited from the flagship LS. With first-of-its-kind technology and a more powerful engine, this is the best ES ever. The ride quality is quiet and silky-smooth, with even more interior space. The acceleration and handling are outstanding, especially with the fun, new F Sport trim.Â
Overall, we highly recommend test-driving the all-new Lexus ES 350. It is one of the most fun, exciting
Lexus cars available and has the total package of performance, upscale design, efficiency, and technology. For the Acura TLX to come anywhere near the quality and performance of the ES 350, you would need to upgrade to the 3.5L V6 engine and tech package at a minimum. At that point, why? You're getting a better luxury vehicle in the ES 350 with Lexus' legendary reliability and driveability.Â
